Stash update March 2019

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think this listing one stash update per month is a bit better than listing them each separately. I think it might make me more consistent with trying to stay under 40 euros a month on quilting supplies.
Since I'm still trying to get better from having that slipped disc in my spine, there hasn't been a lot of walking/shopping I've wanted to do.
But, since the Hand Pieced QAL is still underway, and me wanting to quilt both the Discovery and Defiant quilts by hand, as well as sew all the blocks etc for both, I needed to go get at least some more supplies.
At Halonen, I got some more spray baste
and I also found that they had needle grippers
for sale. At Eurokangas I got enough polyester
batting for one more color block quilt.
At Folkhälsan Retro Bazaar,
I found more embroidery floss.
And I also got some more fabric scraps
out of the Arbis fabric stash.
I also bought an ergonomic crochet
hook from my friend Tua,
because she had gotten one that
she didn't like and asked if anyone
in our quilting group wanted it instead.
Here's the whole lot.
These were filled with embroidery floss
and the one on the bottom right was filled
with zippers.
These document trays I wanted for my desk,
so they're not craft supplies.
These scraps came from the fabric stash at Arbis,
so I got them for free.
This was the crochet hook I got from Tua.
A few green, lots of browns, yellows,
pinks and some reds and blues.
Now I have more than enough embroidery floss.
Then, I had to go shopping for a new backpack,
and I happened to find a bag filled with pre-cut rags
for making carpets.
I think some of those blue scraps might work in the Japan-themed quilt I’m planning to make, but we’ll have to see. Since my little boy loves the color blue, they could also become a quilt for him.
Also, I had to buy more long sashiko-needles.
PLEASE ask permission BEFORE you PUBLICLY copy anything from my blog.
All images, all my text, and content that I specifically haven't referenced as belonging to someone else on this site are my property and they cannot be used, copied or transmitted without my consent.
The exception here is Pinterest, because I give you permission to pin my photos there IF YOU CITE THEM AS COMING FROM THIS BLOG AND THUS FROM ME.
I understand that Pinterest is useful for saving tutorials and photos for quilting inspiration, because I use it that way myself, and I'm okay with you doing that too - but PLEASE: "cite when you write". Give the creator some credit, will you?
I have nothing against you trying to make something similar, or even selling it, but I'd like to get some credit for being your inspiration. Why? Well, because lots of crafts are passed down from person to person, and it feels nice to be able to say "yes, I taught you how to make that".
What I DON*T LIKE is you flat out stealing my photos and my written text.
