One month has passed since the last progress update on my projects, so I thought I'd write an update on how far I've gotten on all of them. During November, we started out the month with daycare flu twice and ended the month with getting the flu vaccination. Still, the days when we were well, I tried getting as much sewing done on my projects as I possibly could. I also felt well (and motivated enough) to start cleaning up in my small closet studio. I saw this video  Lorena made about organizing her fabric by wrapping it around normal card board, that she cut out from ordinary boxes. So, I did that too. Today, after having gone to the quilting course in the morning at Arbis, I went via the Halonen sewist store to buy some more spray basting glue. While I was there, Päivi Halonen (one of the owners of the store) told me she’d finally gotten the order of grey Gutermann Mara thread. What a lucky day for me! We (that is, me and the kids) have been home now for a while with the "daycare flu". I've been unable to use my sewing machine, because I've been feeling too tired and achy. My nose has been runny, so of course my asthma makes itself known by lots of mucus in my lungs. The kids have been coughing too. *sigh* But, I did manage to get a few things done.

Backing was a piece of thin white muslin that I bought second hand in March 2018 . No binding used. Quilting pattern: Really basic running stitch around the edge inside the hoop. During October, we had daycare flu after daycare flu in the family. It felt like I spent the majority of the month walking around in my PJs and wiping snot running like crazy from the children's small  noses. The whole week of Autumn Break (höstlov in Swedish) was spent with the whole family having the flu. The kids were starting to get cabin fever from it all. Still, the days when we were well, I got a lot of projects done. I finished my Kingfisher quilt. I finished two of the Color Block quilts with really simple quilting and sent them to their recipients. I finished my One Block Wonder quilt and gifted it to one of my very dear friends. I finished the Christmas quilt. So, on the quilting front, some projects have been moved from WIP to finished, from UFO to WIP, and vice versa. The lists are fluid that way. The f

Quilt details Name, Recipient, Size, Start/Finished date, Pattern and Fabrics used Emil’s color blocks quilt (fifth color block quilt out of twelve) For Emil Peuralahti 106 x 106 cm (length x height). color blocks started in May of 2017, quilt top done by the end of November 2017, quilt basted 2.7.2018, quilted and bound on October 8th and the label added 31.10.2018. Shipped 1.11.2018. My own color blocks quilt pattern. About the fabrics used: The same as for the rest of the color block quilts, which means that each color block has 36 different fabrics in 5x5 cm pieces. 36 x 9 colors (+ 36 B&W that made blocks I ended up not using) means a total of 324 (+36) different fabric pieces .
